Sanskrit is an ancient and highly scientific language. Its grammar is probably one of the most precise, logical and computer friendly one. The vast knowledge stored in it varies from scripture to metallurgy, poetics to Economics philology to philosophy. Sanskrit the very word means “cultured” and expresses the essence of this language. The knowledge of Sanskrit is a must to get a glimpse of the rich ancient Indian culture and heritage.It is the source language of most of the Indo-aryan languages. Revival of this language is making its head-way in many areas. In the modern context, It is understood to be the most compatible language for computers. The present course is designed for students who are familiar with the Devanagari script.This course has 30 lessons. Basic vocabulary building, noun forms and verb forms are introduced so as to help construct simple,meaningful sentences. Comprehension of simple passages helps in a general grasp of language.  The course also introduces the Kaaraka (cases) which is fundamental to syntax building in Sanskrit.
