We considered different verb tenses, and how they can make big changes to their meanings. We will continue working on BE/C1/Unit1/slides 15-17. I've attached information about using the present continuous when speaking about the future.

What a wonderful conversation class today where we spoke about careers, and what goals you have in the future. I thought you did a great job in describing your impressions you had before visiting a place and then what you found to be really the case when you visited. Please take a look at the video we spoke about. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FISZshe9L3s

What a great job today Giulia with how you used the vocabulary when considering reactions to a research report. I liked how you could identify important types of observations and why it's important to understand the different and what is being emphasized. Great interaction with your conversation skills and how to keep a conversation going. Please complete slides 10-14 before your next class.

You really worked on being expressive today by using the vocabulary that we considered to describe cultural and language experiences of living in Milan. You used some of the phrases when, 'giving me some insights' and how to 'keep an open mind.' Please complete slides 7-9 before your next class. Use some of your free time to continue to study the homework file, and complete it to be really prepared for your next class.

It was really wonderful meeting you Giulia! We considered what it means to work across cultures, and you learned some new expressions, but more importantly, you considered new ways to work, eg; managing unknowns, weigh up pros and cons. We will also work on your use of reporting statements when we repeat what someone else has 'told' you. I've attached your lesson materials to this feedback. Please complete slides 6-8 before your next class. If you have any questions, please write me a message!

CONVERSATIONS UNIT 14 TRAVELING. Dear Guilia, we had an extensive conversation on all countries you have been to and moved from one topic to the other quite effortlessly. I agree you are B1 level, not B2. Some new words: trunk, tough/rough/hard skin, main religion, mouse-mice. Some points to pay attention to are the correct use of tenses. When we are talking about past experiences we usually use the simple past and the past continuous. There were also some mispronunciations but they didn't affect understanding. We shall focus more on grammar from now on. See you soon.
