I was educated as a chemical engineer but when we started traveling with the family for work I had to reinvent myself and made languages my hobby. I love to share my enthusiasm for languages with other people. Having lived abroad for many years, I'm open-minded and love to be in touch with people from all over the world and with different backgrounds. My hobby's are traveling, reading, gardening and I have been the treasurer of a local charity organization for 10 years.

I started teaching languages once the children started to go to school. Living in Germany (2001-2002), I taught French, Italian and German to adults. Some of the students learned a new language just out of interest, others needed it for their job. Living in Alabama (USA) (2002-05), I was an ESL teacher and helped mainly students who came from abroad with their English.I also rewrote & edited the French course for the University of Alabama. In 2005-06, living in Zilina (Slovakia), I taught French and German to elementary school children. From 2007 till 2021, living in Italy, I taught Dutch to adults ; French, English and German to students of various ages. So far, I worked mainly with students in person but in 2016, I started working online. Between 2022 and 2024, I lived in Chennai, India where I continued to teach online and I taught also English at the YWCA. In April 2024, I returned to Turin, Italy. I always adapt my lesson plans to the needs and wishes of the students. I try to make the lessons as fun as possible, including games or fun facts, especially with younger students. I always put the emphasis on speaking (unless otherwise requested). I am a mYngle certified Blended Learning trainer.
