I am a young Canadian teacher. Having spent many years travelling overseas, I have now found my home in Turkey where I have been living for the last two and a half years. I spend my free time getting lost in Istanbul, learning to cook Turkish food and spending time with the many great new friends I have me here. I currently work at a prestigious language school where I mainly teach business English. I am also learning how to give lessons online which is a great learning experience.

I am a fully qualified ESL teacher having gained a TESOL certification in 2002 as well as a degree in English Language and Literature.

I have 5+ years of experience teaching English as a second language. I have experience teaching general English, business English, academics and young learners. I have taught in Australia, England and Turkey. I particularily enjoy teaching business English and academic English. I enjoy meeting students from a variety of different backgrounds as I am able to learn at the same time as my students. Having had experience in many different areas of ESL, I feel that I am a well rounded and flexible teacher. I like coming up with tailor made programs to suit a client's needs. I focus on using a communicative method and place a strong importance on building strong writing and speaking skills.
