This was the last lesson of your intensive package Marcos, which is a shame because it means I will miss our frequent meetings, which I found very enjoyable. You are a dedicated and committed learner, and I have no doubt that you will continue to challenge yourself with your English skills on a daily basis. You certainly know where to find interesting articles and interviews online, and in this way you will find a lot of idioms, native-speaker speech patterns, and new words to pepper your conversation with. I look forward to hearing them in future!

What a lovely lesson, Marcos! We imagined a whole lot of different scenarios and created conversations in English which used natural responses, exploring various emotions and meanings. You came up with a lot of good idioms and phrasal verbs which you used accurately. It was fun thinking of the next part of the story and getting down to some real expressions used in the context of relationships. Your fluency got a real work out!

We had some practice watching and understanding a TED education video in the second part of today's lesson, which you followed well even if some of the terminology was new for you, Marcos. Expressions such as well-off (rich, blessed with advantages) popped up, along with the new vocabulary we had studied - words like scarce, or to careen. As you know, seeing these words used and repeated in context helps fix them in your mind. You are always eager to read or listen to reviews or articles about things you enjoy, and this is really helping you improve your English skills. Keep it up!

This has been a good first half of our regular double lesson Marcos, with interesting discussions and a focus on making choices regarding dilemmas. We also read the stats about your motorbike and focused on a few technical words which was a learning curve for me! Your fluency is excellent and you can often work out the meaning of new words and expressions from the context or from your wide portfolio of English words

Lovely lesson Marcos! It was really enjoyable to read articles on a website of your choice which discussed the latest trends on the stocks and share markets worldwide. We came across a lot of phrases to describe movement - up (soar, rise, increase, rocket, rally, hike) down (fall, plummet, slip, slide, tumble, decline) or remain steady (keep its footing). We also found some interesting verbs used in financial contexts such as "trigger a sell-off" or "stage a correction", which can be used in general conversation such as when your team stages a stress test!

Good to have another double lesson today as you can really focus on consolidating your English skills Marcos. It was interesting to hear about the processes involved in your company which you explained in great detail with fluent English. You have a wide vocabulary which you use very well.

Great lesson Marcos, lots of linguistic challenges to which you responded with your usual eager attitude and aptitude for learning. You are getting to know a lot of phrasal verbs and idiomatic expressions. It's also great that you bring up words or phrases you have come across for us to look at and follow up. Your knowledge of advanced grammar is superb: you know how to use complicated passive forms and you sound natural when you use them. Just remember the irregular past participle forms and your English will be perfect!

Lovely to have another double lesson today! We cover a lot of material in 90 minutes. Today we reviewed some business-related phrasal verbs, many of which were in the list of 15 most common ones as chosen by Chat GPT! These verbs make up a lot of spoken English so it's useful to get to know them. Then we looked at some household vocabulary and talked about having or getting things done.

We had to do without a double lesson today Marcos, which was a shame because we couldn't get on with as much learning as usual. But you came up with a lot of good answers and also put forward a couple of suggestions that I will follow up for tomorrow's lessons. I am impressed with how well you learn and remember new words and expressions. You are always challenging yourself! I look forward to our lessons and it cheers me up to have such an eager student :-)
