It was very nice meeting you today Mao! It was immediately evident to me that you have an excellent level of fluency in English and your comfort in speaking it and elaborating on myriad of topics shows. Top: You were good at: elaborating, giving your opinions with supportive reasoning. Excellent reading, good pace, pronunciation. Excellent job at immediately understanding what elision and linking are and at picking out examples from the lengthy text you read ("Dutch Directness"). Tip: Work on: as I mentioned to you, I had difficulty finding something - so the only thing I can suggest is, when encountering a new word or a more complex one, to pause and break down the word in syllables and to reread it again afterwards. This only occurred two times when you read the very long text in today's lesson! Lesson 27- C1- GBC GBC TIP: connected speech (Elision, Linking). GBC practice: questions about “Dutch directness” (question for homework and instructions emailed to you)

It was good to teach you, Mao You did well today to identify the different conditional types to the situation context. You gave clear and timely responses to the discussion topics. Work on: review the conditionals regularly because they are useful linguistic tools to use in consulting. Well done.

Hi Mao. Our conversation today focussed on various subjects, and you were able to adapt and share your opinions well. To assist you to improve your comprehension and grammar, read your books and understand the meaning of the sentences. If you come across a word you are not familiar with, look it up in your dictionary and practice using the word in a sentence. Keep up the good work.

Excellent work on your comments today. Continue to focus on your filler words by practicing on your own. Take notice of how often you use them. You may be able to reduce the number by speaking a little more slowly. Great job using the phrases in our lesson. Lesson 17 C1 GBC Theory on how to use transitional phrases & words Part II; GBC practice: questions about “ the environment”.
