Today we had a conversation on the current heatwave. You did good work with the vocabulary today and showed an aptitude for them, I recommend spending some time doing additional exercises to improve your ability to use them effectively. Keep up the good work!

Very nice to see Catia as always! We had a really interesting and absorbing discussion about a variety of topics. Catia expressed her ideas coherently, articulately and intelligently. H/W: LESSON PDF: Page 14 - question 3, page 16 - question 1 (write a short, written response of no more than one paragraph).

Catia great lesson today! You successfully completed difficult listening exercises with an audio clip of a fast-paced meeting. You had to identify specific information about a project deadline and problems associated with a launch date of a product. Another exercise linked to the same audio clip asked you to identify the different ways one of the speakers was asking for updates from the attendees at the meeting. The ways she was asking were the following: how are thing with...? how is the advertising campaign coming along? how far are you with....? how does your side of things look? Further questions were: what do you mean exactly? (asking for clarification) so what you're saying is....? (when you "reiterate" -new word). so what about your deadlines? You read the details of a project very well and had to comment using phrases learned such as: stay on track, stay within budget, went over budget, ran into problems. Remember to always pronounce the "ed" endings of words but overall, good work!

Today we worked on question forms. It was a lot of information to take in today but you were able to manage the material and make progress. I suggest doing the extra exercises that we spoke about.

Catia, it was very nice to meet you today! We had a lovely and varied conversation! We both have daughters that are about the same age so we spoke about their sports activities and interests, schooling, universities and future education. You also spoke about student exchanges and cross-cultural experiences. With more speaking practice I am sure you will become more fluent, although you effectively explained everything well and chose appropriate words for the topic of discussion. Keep up the effort Catia and I hope to have another lesson with you in the near future!

Today we had a free conversation on travel. Nice work with the discussion task today, it was lively and you expressed your thoughts in a clear and concise way with adequate grammar support. Do the homework assignment which was given to improve your skills of self-correction.

Great seeing you again. We reviewed the present simple vs. the present continuous forms as well as action and non-action verbs. Overall, you understood well and talked about yourself using both verb tenses correctly. Keep up the good work! See you in our next lesson.
