After revising the last structures we studied with a short translation and description exercise , we started a new topic : the present Conditional - the student had some difficulty in understanding when a future sentence is reported in English , as in Italian the structure is quite different

In this lesson we focused on the difference between "fun" and "funny" and I realized my lessons can be considered in both waysas not only my student has a good time , but I also make him laugh! -then we talked about family occasions and about how enjoyable they can be

We continued our practice on "so" "such " also reviewing "too" and "enough" , as usual the student had some interesting solutions in composition

Today we talked about the difference between "so and "such" with some examples : this is not so direct for an Italian speaker due to the different position of adjectives and nouns in a sentence but i hope it was clear enough .

At first we did a translation revision exercise, then the student talked about his family and the facilities and services that could be useful to help families in Italy

As we haven't seen each other for some time , we had a revision on the latest structures we had studied , which consisted in the 0and 1st Conditionals

After shortly reviewing "Mustn't "and "needen't " we continued our work on Modal Verbs and the First Conditional by working on an exercises which gave some important suggestions about how not to pollute our planet and other environmental problems .

I am satisfied with Mr Colombo as he is making very good progress and now can speak quite correcty in Basic English - today we started working on the Past of the Modal verbs "can " and "must "

We taked about gambling and betting : in analysing this we had the opportunity to talk about luck and giving for charity : the student expressed some interesting prompts and even gave me a good tip about an on -line shop where there are very good bargains on electronics !1
