Thank you Emanuela for such great participation in class today. We continued to speak about right and wrong using modal verbs and which offered suggestions and which offered strong advice. Please complete slides 7-9 from GE/B1/Unit5 before your next class.

We started working on GE/B1/Unit5 and considered what modal verbs to use when doing something right or wrong. I really liked how you spoke about decisions you would make, or have made when given the choice of what you would do. Please complete slides 6-8 before your next class.

You did an excellent job with how you described different customs when someone dies. I like that you balance doing positive things even when dealing with sad things that happened. We can learn a lot from those who have dealt with similar experiences. I'm including a link for your consideration about how to help your children to make good friends.

Thank you Emanuela! We spoke about what do you do when you aren’t working. You learned some new words about sewing and knitting. I really liked how your grandmother tried to teach you how to knit! You also identified things that need to go with these activities, eg; helmet/bicycle. Please complete the table from slides 23-25 from GE/B1/Unit3 before your next class. I'm including GE/B2/Unit1 for your review to see if you'd be interested in starting this next.

Great consideration today about having a 'book club' where we will consider the book 'Spare.' We will be reading this until page 40. We also considered a Ted Talk by former president Jimmy Carter about the number one abuse in the world today. You did a great job in sharing a local experience of a story in Italy about what happened to a young girl from Egypt and how women need to change their own attitudes about what they've been taught. I've included a link below for your consideration.

You are doing a great job Emanuela! We discussed the current situation with how during the coldest time of the year, your heat isn't working. You described what happened in great detail. You described what different people do for a living. Please complete slides 22-24 from GE/B1/Unit3 before your next class.

You did a great job with how you used the present continuous and identified that state verbs cannot have the 'ing' form. You explanations of grammar were quite clear and advanced Emanuela! Great job! Please complete slide 9 and 20 from GE/B1/Unit3 before your next class.
